Amygda selected to accelerate with Leonardo to enable servitization of products

Derby, UK – 24 May 2022 – Amygda, an industrial tech startup enabling servitization in the aerospace industry, has been selected to join Leonardo’s Business Innovation Factory (BIF). 

Leonardo is a global high-technology company, develops multi-domain capabilities in the Aerospace, Defence and Security (AD&S) sector. The launch of BIF is part of Leonardo’s approach to innovation that is based, as indicated by the strategic growth plan Be Tomorrow 2030.

UK-based Amygda is one of ten startups (out of 170 in total) in this launch programme, and one of the two non-Italian startup to be selected to work with Leonardo. Startups from the US, other European countries, and Africa were also analysed, leading to a very thorough selection process.

Amygda’s observability and equipment health monitoring product offers industrial businesses to increase the availability and sustainability of assets and implement servitization in high-value asset industries. Built by ex-Rolls-Royce engineers, Amygda has customers in the aerospace, rail, and industrial sectors in the UK and US.

Amygda is part of the initiative that concerns with the development of solutions and platforms for data collection and data exploitation capable of allowing the creation and delivery of innovative services in Anything-as-a-service (Xaas) mode. The second initiative that part of the startups are involved in includes solutions for mobility, navigation, planning and interaction of movements for autonomous systems and for the integration and enhancement of existing systems.
